Hello, My name is Sophia Eberhart and I am a Mental Health Counselor with my Limited Permit. I know first hand how messy and hard life can. Throwing curveballs at you when you least expect it or when you think you just cannot handle anymore.

My goal is to work collaboratively with each client in identifying their needs, strengths, and teaching how to navigate all that life throws at you. I accomplish this through the use of evidence based practices, developing a meaningful therapeutic relationship, and simply by listening to when the client needs at that moment.

I work mainly with older teens and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, relationship issues, OCD, ADHD, and more.

Everyone experiences setbacks and challenges. Choosing to face yours is a strength. Be proud of that. Let me help you create a space where you are heard, and can become the person you want to be.

Have you been feeling lost or stuck? Feeling disconnected with yourself? Or feeling alone in the challenges you are facing? I believe that everyone is doing the best they can with what they have; that we are shaped by the tools we have adopted or have learned throughout our lives. However, these tools aren’t always enough, or don’t serve us in the ways we truly need. Many of our emotional challenges or struggles come from pieces of ourselves that are hurt or misunderstood. While these experiences can feel isolating, this is not a journey you have to approach alone.

I work with clients to help them explore their identities, develop self-compassion, process trauma, and learn more effective ways to identify and manage their emotions. Through a mix of counseling modalities, we will work together to help you heal and feel better equipped to handle both current challenges and those you may face in the future.

As someone who’s been on the “other side of the couch”, I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating; not knowing if things are going to “get better” can be scary. However, therapy is not always about just moving forward, but rather sometimes visiting the past or sitting in the present so that you can grow and feel more prepared for the future.
